The Cart Shed

An intimate, characterful space for smaller celebrations and private gatherings.

The Cart Shed can be hired on its own or as part of a wider event at The Stalls.

The Space

Originally built in 1710 to house the Squire’s carts, The Cart Shed has been thoughtfully restored to create a warm, flexible and atmospheric venue. Polished concrete floors, soaring timber beams and antique carts suspended from the ceiling give the space its distinctive character. Bi-fold glass doors open directly onto the courtyard, flooding the room with natural light.

How it's used

The Cart Shed works beautifully for both seated dining and informal receptions, with layouts tailored to suit your event. Guests can move easily between the barn and courtyard, making it ideal for drinks, shared feasts and evening celebrations. As the day moves on, the space transitions effortlessly into a relaxed party setting.

The Space

The courtyard sits at the heart of The Stalls, framed by historic barns and open countryside. Our stretch tent provides shelter while keeping the space light, airy and connected to the outdoors. With festoon lighting, long communal tables and room to flow between indoors and out, it offers a relaxed yet atmospheric backdrop for gatherings of all kinds.
